“Oh, Why Didn’t I Say That?”
How to Answer the Toughest Questions About Christianity Gracefully
Episode 11: Does Science Disprove God?
by Dr. Frank Turek
In this 11th episode of the series, Frank continues his presentation addressing the most often asked question about Christianity: Does Science Disprove God?
You’ll learn the key questions to ask when someone says that science disproves God. And then you’ll discover three things about science that will help you show people that science can’t disprove God (instead it points toward God!). They are:
1. What are the two types of causes?
2. What are the two types of science?
3. Science doesn’t say anything, scientists do! (Frank uses evidence from the O.J. Simpson Trial to illustrate this powerful point.)
You’ll see that atheists and theists agree on most scientific questions, but disagree on questions of history or origin: How did the universe originate? How did life originate? The reason they disagree has little to do with evidence, and nearly everything to do with worldview assumptions. Once you expose the naturalistic assumptions, the evidence for a Creator and Designer is quite compelling.
