Description

Truly a unique work that's not only comprehensive but easy to read. Geisler and Turek have written the only book that builds the case for Christianity from the ground up! Challenging for skeptics, engaging for seekers, and affirming for Christians. Foreword by David Limbaugh. Endorsed by Lee Strobel, Josh McDowell, Hank Hanegraaff, Phillip Johnson, Bill Dembski, Cal Thomas and others.

To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable.

Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide readers through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God. They move into an examination of the source of morality and the reliability of the New Testament accounts concerning Jesus. The final section of the book deals with a detailed investigation of the claims of Christ. This volume will be an interesting read for those skeptical about Christianity, as well as a helpful resource for Christians seeking to articulate a more sophisticated defense of their faith.

Here is a Five Star review on Amazon.com from an Atheist:

Having read quite a few Christian apologetics books, I feel I can say that this one is by far the best in scope, logic, and wit. The authors convincingly build up their case in layers, starting with well-reasoned arguments why God exists, and building in stages as to why Jesus is the way to go, once everything else is accepted.

The authors include run-ins they've had with professors and debate opponents, making for an interesting read. The appendixes, which feature a mock dialogue between a Christian and an atheist, are entertaining. The book covers all the important issues that this topic entails, from cosmology, life origins, evolution, morality, and a defense of the Bible.

No honest atheist can read this book without being impressed by the quality of the theistic arguments as presented by the authors. The objections of skeptics are confronted with confidence. Did it change my mind? It may have planted a seed.

I highly recommend this book to both atheists and Christians, and to anyone else interested in this topic. It is VERY convincing. These guys know their stuff.

Really helps me crsystallize information that I can use talking to non believers.

I enjoyed the book and found it very educational. I don't really aspire to be a champion apologist, but I do want to have the knowledge/facts to defend the faith in my normal day to day conversations AND ESPECIALLY WHEN TALKING WITH LOST LOVED ONES. I feel like this book presented quite a bit of useful and pertinent informatino in an interesting easy to read format. I had a hard time putting the book down. I definitely want to read some more books on this topic.

The best resource outside of the Bible for a defense of Christianity

Posted by James jenkins on 13th Mar 2013

This book and the arguments it posits has had a tremendous impact on me but also the people around me - my wife and children. It has allowed me to engage in conversations which I would have never been able to before reading this. When Christianity is attacked, it usually involves an error in thinking which I am more equipped to recognize and point out. Thank God for inspiring Frank and Norm to compile Truth in such a compelling and easy to understand format.

Best single source of apologetics in one book

Posted by Richard Carroll on 26th Feb 2013

My first introduction to Frank was viewing his presentations on the NRB cable channel. I purchased his DVD set IDHEF and later attended the CIA training in Charlotte. I am now using the IDHEF books in our church to teach a 12 week course in apologetics. In the first half of the class I present a chapter of the IDHEF book and then during the second half of the class we role play using the apologetics information we just learned to defend the faith (Tactics). Every Christian needs to learn this information to strengthen their faith and give a reason to the secular world of why we believe.

    INTELLIGENT AND CORRECT!

Frank Turek has a way of teaching something new that makes you feel like saying " Ya, that's what I thought" The difference is that he gets it across with all the facts and examples you cant remember if you try to say it yourself! I bought the dvd set because he is so enjoyable to watch, and the book to study because he gets in so much info. I couldn't possibly remember it all. LOVE HIS WORK. THANKS FRANK

I have been teaching a class using "I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist" for several weeks now. It has been the most rewarding teaching experience of my life. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in the truth about Christianity or the truth about God.
