Train Your Brain: An Introduction to Logic (6-8th Grade) - TEACHER Guide

Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic are ESSENTIAL to a solid education. But what about logic? Do the “3 R’s” serve any meaningful purpose if students lack the ability to properly think for themselves?

The truth is, ALL fields of study rely on the rules of logic. 

Memorizing information to pass a test may be convenient in the short term, but learning HOW and WHY things are the way they are will have a much greater impact on students in the long term. This is why logic is so important! Thankfully, you no longer have to choose between the “3 R’s” and logic lessons. Former public school teacher and Biola-certified apologist, Shanda Fulbright, and Dr. Frank Turek have teamed up again to create a FUN and EXCITING course to bridge the gap between knowledge and good thinking skills! Specifically targeting middle schoolers (but being used by lots of high schoolers and adults), ‘Train Your Brain: An Introduction to Logic’ will prepare students to guard their hearts and minds against faulty reasoning by teaching  them to identify common logical fallacies. (Once your kids know how to recognize a fallacy, they’ll catch them EVERYWHERE.)

This is the optional teacher guide for Train Your Brain: An Introduction to Logic (6-8th Grade) and is meant to be used with the coordinating Student Workbook and the optional Supplemental Videos.  The Student Workbook includes written instruction, vocabulary, lesson questions and worksheets and can be consumed as a stand-alone product, but...

Having someone willing to teach the student allows for greater learning! 

That's why Frank and Shanda created this Train Your Brain: An Introduction to Logic Teacher Workbook to provide scripts for teaching, answers to the questions and worksheets as well as suggested assignments or activities.  Used together, they will help you to train those brains and also teach the principles of good thinking.
